Adani Wind secures 696.2 MW in new turbine orders

Adani Wind, the renewable energy division of Adani New Industries, has secured orders totaling 696.2 MW from five different power producers. The contracts include 300 MW from Purvah Green Power and 155 MW from Jindal India Power, with additional orders from Aditya Birla Renewables, NTPC Renewable Energy, and Integrum Energy.

The turbine installations are planned for deployment across the Indian states of Karnataka, Gujarat, and Maharashtra. These projects utilize the company’s 5.2 MW, 5 MW, and 3.3 MW wind turbine platforms.

Following these wins, Adani Wind’s cumulative order book from independent power producers outside the Adani Group has surpassed 1 GW. To support this growth, the company intends to expand its annual manufacturing capacity at its Mundra facility in Gujarat from 2.25 GW to 5 GW.
