Adapteo expands modular classrooms at Heinrich‑Böll‑Schule in Rodgau

Adapteo supplied two two‑storey Vario Plus modular building units to the Heinrich‑Böll‑Schule in Rodgau, Germany. The first phase, delivered in August 2025, comprised 24 modules covering 432 m² and created space for 155 new fifth‑grade pupils. A second phase added 16 modules with 342 m², increasing the school's capacity for its 768 students. Both sections feature 2.75 m ceiling heights and modern, energy‑efficient VRF air‑heat pump systems that provide heating and cooling without water‑based heating.

Adapteo CEO Benjamin von Schretter said the modular concept allows rapid, flexible expansion for school authorities, with the first building leased for 60 months and the second for 48 months. The temporary, prefabricated structures aim to minimise resource use while delivering modern learning environments.

The project demonstrates how modular construction can address urgent space needs in German schools.
