Adarius Pickett leads CFL defensive statistics with Toronto Argonauts

Toronto Argonauts linebacker Adarius Pickett is leading the CFL in several defensive categories, including defensive tackles (92), total tackles (103), and defensive plays (120). Pickett, who previously earned East Division top defensive player honors in 2023, has also recorded three sacks, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries this season.

The Argonauts' defensive unit has shown strong performance across multiple players. Middle linebacker Isaac Darkangelo ranks second in the league for defensive tackles (90) and total tackles (96). Defensive lineman Shawn Lemon is tied for third in sacks with eight in nine games, while defensive back Benjie Franklin is among the league leaders in takeaways and interceptions.

Toronto currently holds a 9-6 record and has secured a home playoff game. The team remains mathematically in contention for first place in the East Division, though the Montreal Alouettes could clinch the top spot depending on the outcome of Saturday's games.
