AdBio Partners expands to Canada with new Montréal office

AdBio Partners, a Paris-based venture capital firm specializing in early-stage life sciences, has announced its expansion into Canada with the opening of a new office in Montréal. This move marks the firm’s first location outside of Europe.

The expansion coincides with the launch of AdBio’s third fund, which has a target size of 120 million euros. The fund is supported by the European Investment Fund and the Québec-based Fonds de solidarité FTQ, which has contributed 7 million euros to the initiative. AdBio plans to invest approximately 20 percent of this fund outside of Europe, with a specific focus on the Québec ecosystem.

Founded in 2016, AdBio Partners focuses on biotechnology companies developing therapeutics for oncology, immunology, and rare diseases. The Montréal office will be led by partner Mounia Azzi and venture partner Didier Leconte. The firm aims to bridge Canadian scientific innovation with its international network of investors and pharmaceutical partners.
