ADC outlines agendas for Adamawa and Osun governorship bids
In Adamawa State, African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship hopeful Engineer Omar Suleiman affirmed that the Independent National Electoral Commission recognises the party’s national leadership and detailed his 2027 election platform. He said his administration would modernise agriculture with expert training, subsidised fertiliser, and better rural road links, while strengthening security cooperation and launching youth sports programmes.
In Osun State, ADC candidate Dr Najeem Salaam, speaking during a British High Commission visit, presented a manifesto promising 24‑hour electricity, free education and health services, monthly stipends for seniors and persons with disabilities, and empowerment schemes for farmers and women. He also warned that Nigeria’s democracy faces increasing intimidation and urged protection of the electorate’s rights.
