ADCEUSA celebrates 10th anniversary with New York gala
The Association of Absent Chiringueros in the United States (ADCEUSA) celebrated its tenth anniversary with a gala at Eastwood Manor in the Bronx. Founded in 2016 by immigrants from Chiringo, Villa Riva, in the Duarte province, the organization focuses on solidarity and service for its community members.
During the event, former president Carmen Luis detailed the organization’s achievements, which include the construction of four homes, the repair of 18 others, and the building of a community club for vocational training. The association has also provided essential supplies such as wheelchairs, medication, school supplies, and food assistance.
U.S. Representative Adriano Espaillat presented a recognition from the House of Representatives to ADCEUSA, noting that the group’s work strengthens social ties and the development of the Dominican diaspora in New York. The ceremony was supported by the Dominican Consulate and various community leaders.
