ADCT implements infrastructure projects in Nazinon and Oubri regions
The Agence nationale d’Appui au Développement des Collectivités territoriales (ADCT) has conducted field visits in the Nazinon and Oubri regions of Burkina Faso to monitor various development projects.
In the Nazinon region, investments have focused on hydraulic infrastructure and civil status services. In Leongo, human-powered pump boreholes were completed with a total investment of approximately 11 million CFA francs. In Pô, a secondary civil status center was established at a medical center to improve administrative services. These projects were supported by partners including Swiss Cooperation and the Programme pour la Résilience, la Gouvernance locale et les Services de base (PREGOLS).
In the Oubri region, specifically in Zorgho, the ADCT is overseeing investments in infrastructure, equipment, and capacity building. Notable projects include the construction of a maternity ward and a modern, equipped archive room at the Zorgho town hall. The archive facility, costing approximately 30 million CFA francs, was designed to secure and improve the conservation of vital civil status documents, addressing a previous lack of appropriate storage space.
