Ad‑Din Medical College Hospital in Dhaka resumes services after license reinstated

Bangladesh’s Ministry of Health and Family Welfare restored the licence of Ad‑Din Medical College Hospital in Dhaka on 27 July, after a three‑day investigation found the earlier cancellation on 19 July satisfactory. The reinstatement is conditional on compliance with the Medical Practice and Private Clinics and Laboratories (Regulation) Ordinance of 1982 and the timely recruitment of doctors.

The hospital announced that from 8 a.m. on 28 July it will reopen all departments—including outpatient, inpatient, and emergency services—after being closed for 45 days.

The ministry’s health services secretary, Kamruzzaman Chowdhury, signed the order, and the hospital expressed gratitude to the government and various professional groups for facilitating the renewal.
