Additive manufacturing advances with Instruct3D launch and AML3D aerospace project
Instruct3D has launched its Additive Build Intelligence solution, a new technology category aimed at improving metal additive manufacturing. Utilizing research from the University of Sheffield, the platform combines physics-based optimization with sensor hardware and data intelligence to provide predictable and verifiable production results.
Separately, the Australian company AML3D has joined a three-year aerospace manufacturing research and development project. The initiative, which involves an undisclosed aerospace prime, has a total participant contribution of approximately A$3.89 million. AML3D is contributing roughly A$530,000 to the project to mature its Wire-Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAM) technology for aerospace tooling applications.
