Formosa implements digital education and responsible consumption programs

The Formosa provincial government has expanded its “Consuma Conciencia” program, recently holding a training session at the EPEP 21 República del Paraguay school in Clorinda. The initiative focuses on digital education, responsible consumption, and financial literacy to protect children and adolescents from online risks, including excessive screen time and unregulated online gambling.

Edgar Pérez, the Undersecretary of Consumer and User Defense, noted that Formosa is the only province in Argentina implementing this comprehensive approach, which includes training for over 5,000 teachers and has reached more than 4,500 students across 67 institutions. The program aims to provide families and students with tools to navigate the digital environment critically and safely.

In a separate local development, agricultural students from the ISFDCyT “Don Cristóbal Aguirre” participated in a practical workshop at the Clorinda Municipal Nursery. The session focused on organic composting and sustainable production techniques as part of a regional academic-territorial program.

Additionally, the Agency for Business Development (ADE) is offering free training for local entrepreneurs to facilitate digital transformation, including a workshop on creating online stores via the Empretienda platform.
