Adekunle Ajasin University Students Give Ondo Government 72‑Hour Ultimatum Amid ASUU Strike

The Students’ Union of Adekunle Ajasin University (AAUA) issued a 72‑hour ultimatum to the Ondo State Government, demanding immediate action to resolve the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) strike that has now lasted 14 days. The strike has halted all academic activities, disrupted the university calendar and forced many undergraduates to leave campus, while those remaining endure emotional, psychological and financial hardship and face delayed graduations.

Union leaders President Folagbade Greatness and General Secretary Amos Oluwatimileyin warned that if the government does not respond within the deadline, the students will organise lawful, peaceful and democratic protests to protect their right to education. They called on Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and other stakeholders to engage with ASUU leadership and negotiate a swift resolution.
