Adel Bettaieb leaves Esperance Tunis over salary disputes

Adel Bettaieb has mutually terminated his contract with the Tunisian club Esperance Tunis after less than one month. The player, who previously played for FC Argeș, had signed a deal lasting until 2028.

The separation occurred due to disagreements regarding salary payments. Bettaieb reportedly insisted on receiving his monthly wages in foreign currency, specifically euros, while the club offered payment in Tunisian dinars. Esperance Tunis stated that the termination was reached amicably and was necessitated by Tunisian legislation concerning foreign exchange regimes, noting that the player holds Tunisian citizenship.
