Adelaide 36ers sign Corey Webster amid injury struggles
The Adelaide 36ers have signed New Zealand international Corey Webster as an injury replacement to bolster their scoring. The 37-year-old guard, a three-time NBL champion, joins the team amid an injury crisis that has left the 36ers with a 2-3 record and the second-lowest scoring average in the league.
Head coach Trevor Gleeson noted the team is facing adversity and needs to improve offensive execution, specifically regarding three-point shooting. The 36ers are currently missing key players including Isaac Humphries, Flynn Cameron, and Bul Kuol.
In contrast, the Tasmania JackJumpers hold a 3-1 record despite significant injuries to players such as Bryce Hamilton, Anthony Drmic, Majok Deng, and Ben Ayre. Coach Scott Roth has brought in Biwali Bayles and Kody Stattmann as injury replacements to help the team regain rhythm during practice.
