Adelaide student Jess Laws saves 100,000 AUD before graduating

Jess Laws, a 22-year-old Allied Health student at Adelaide University, has accumulated savings of 100,000 AUD (approximately 1.8 billion VND) before completing her degree. Living with her family in Adelaide, Australia, Laws gained attention on TikTok for her disciplined financial approach.

Laws began developing saving habits in childhood by performing extra chores for cash and requesting monetary gifts for holidays. She intensified her efforts at age 18, adopting a strategy of setting aside money for savings before allocating funds for spending. She noted that reaching the first 10,000 AUD was the most difficult milestone, after which maintaining the habit became easier.

Rather than practicing extreme austerity, Laws describes her method as ‘intentional saving.’ She continues to fund social activities, travel, and dining out, focusing on choosing specific items or experiences she truly values rather than attempting to eliminate all personal spending.
