Adelaide University launches Aboriginal and Engineering Pathway programmes

The University of Adelaide has introduced two new entry pathways aimed at broadening university access. The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Pathway is a fee‑free, one‑year (full‑time or part‑time equivalent) program delivered across five South Australian locations. It provides culturally responsive study blocks covering core writing, mathematics and electives, with guaranteed entry into a wide range of undergraduate degrees once the eight‑course sequence is completed.

The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) Flexible Entry pathway allows students who lack required mathematics prerequisites to complete first‑year engineering courses while catching up on maths. Over a year of full‑time study (or part‑time equivalent) learners take core engineering, design, programming and mathematics electives, preparing them for a smooth transition into a full engineering degree.
