Adelaide University outlines research ethics and engineering facilities

Adelaide University maintains a framework for research ethics and compliance to ensure integrity, honesty, and objectivity in its academic endeavors. The university provides specialized support through its Research Compliance, Ethics and Integrity team, offering resources and advice to both staff and students. This includes the Adelaide Compliance & Ethics System (ACES) for managing applications related to human research, animal research, and gene technology, as well as mandatory research integrity training.

The university’s School of Chemical Engineering utilizes extensive facilities across the City East, Mawson Lakes, and Waite campuses to support teaching and discovery. These include over 60 purpose-built laboratories specializing in areas such as graphene, nanoengineering, battery technology, and pharmaceutical biomaterials. Additionally, the GeoEnergy and Storage Laboratory provides infrastructure for research into carbon capture, underground hydrogen storage, and sustainable energy production.
