Aden Anti-Narcotics Department launches drug awareness campaign

Lieutenant Colonel Mayas Haidara Al-Jadani, Director of the Anti-Narcotics Department for the Aden Police and National Security Forces, met with prominent media professionals and social media influencers in Aden to launch a security awareness campaign against drug abuse.

The initiative aims to leverage the widespread reach of social media to deliver prevention messages to citizens across various districts and provinces. Al-Jadani emphasized that influencers were selected for their positive community impact and ability to reach vulnerable groups, particularly youth, without political bias.

During the meeting, Al-Jadani provided detailed information regarding prevalent drug types, their health and social consequences, and methods for treatment and recovery. He shared real-life field accounts to illustrate the suffering caused by addiction to families and society. The campaign is supported by the Mazalla Development Foundation and the Tarabot Shabab Health Team, highlighting a collaborative approach between security forces, media, and community organizations.
