Aden authorities issue security warnings amid Houthi shelling

Security authorities and local government in Aden have issued urgent warnings to citizens, journalists, and social media activists regarding the dissemination of information during a period of heightened military activity. Authorities have strictly prohibited the filming or publishing of security developments, strategic locations, or military movements within the city to maintain operational safety and public stability.

The Aden Local Authority has designated three official sources for news to prevent the spread of rumors: the official Aden Local Authority Facebook page, the official X account of the Minister of State and Governor of Aden, Abdulrahman Sheikh Al-Yafei, and the official Aden Police Facebook page.

These measures follow reports of Houthi militia shelling targeting Aden International Airport, accompanied by loud explosions heard throughout the capital. Concurrently, military operations continue in surrounding regions, including advances by Southern forces in Lahj and Taiz governorates.
