Aden Environmental Authority conducts cleaning campaign at Kod Al-Nimr coast

The General Authority for Environmental Protection (Aden branch) conducted a cleaning campaign at the Kod Al-Nimr corniche in the Al-Buraiqeh district to mark the conclusion of Arab Environment Day. The initiative was held in cooperation with the Cleaning and City Improvement Fund and the Al-Nawras Association for Women's Development and Empowerment.

Approximately 70 participants took part in the event, including 55 women and representatives from seven civil society organizations. Additionally, 12 divers from the Aden Divers Association worked to remove plastic and glass waste from the seabed to protect marine life and biodiversity.

The campaign was sponsored by the Minister of Water and Environment, Tawfiq Al-Sharjabi, and the Governor of Aden, Abdulrahman Sheikh. Beyond cleaning, the event included awareness sessions regarding the protection of marine habitats and the importance of community responsibility in environmental sustainability.
