Aden Governor Abdulrahman Sheikh and Tax Chief Najeh Jaber Plan Joint Tax Revenue Drive

On 3 August 2026, Governor of Aden Abdulrahman Sheikh met with the head of Yemen’s Tax Authority, Najeh Jaber, to discuss ways to boost tax collection and curb evasion. The meeting, attended by Mustafa Al‑Shairi, director‑general of the Finance Office in Aden, and Mohamed Al‑Fadhli, director‑general of the city’s Tax Office, focused on tighter coordination between the municipal administration and the tax authority.

Both officials stressed the need for legal and regulatory measures to improve efficiency, increase public revenues, and fund infrastructure and service improvements in the capital. They pledged to work as a “single team” to enhance fiscal performance and ensure tax justice under existing laws.
