Aden Governor appeals to business leaders for humanitarian aid

Aden Governor Abdulrahman Sheikh held a meeting with representatives from the commercial sector, businessmen, and the Aden Chamber of Commerce and Industry to discuss humanitarian support for displaced persons. The meeting, attended by the Minister of Electricity and Aden Police Director Major General Mutahar al-Shuaibi, focused on mobilizing resources to assist thousands of people displaced by Houthi attacks.

During the discussions, Governor Sheikh appealed to the business community for assistance, stating, “It is a favor from you and not an order from the local authority,” in a plea to help provide food, security, and medical care for those fleeing conflict. Mohammed Saeed Salem, the Undersecretary of Aden, praised the Governor’s approach, noting that the meeting served as a model for community solidarity and social responsibility in addressing the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
