Aden Industry and Trade Office intensifies market inspections

The Industry and Trade Office in Aden has ordered its branches across all districts to increase field inspections and enforce strict price controls. The initiative aims to curb unjustified price hikes and combat monopolistic practices that negatively impact citizens' livelihoods.

Director General Wassim Mohammed Fadel stated that these directives follow instructions from the Minister of Industry and Trade and the Governor of Aden. The focus will be on essential goods, verifying supply chain integrity, and preventing the withholding of commodities from the market.

Field inspection teams and judicial officers will conduct morning and evening patrols across markets and residential areas. Violators and monopolists will be referred to the Industry and Trade Prosecution for legal action. A central operations room is available 24/7 to receive citizen complaints via a dedicated hotline and WhatsApp.
