Aden security forces face 72‑hour deadline over unpaid food allowances

The Aden Security Administration issued an emergency notice giving a 72‑hour deadline to presidential council member and Southern Giants commander Abdulrahman Saleh Al‑Mahrmi (known as Abu Zar‘a) and Interior Minister Ibrahim Haidan. It warned that if delayed financial allocations are not released, feeding for more than 1,400 security personnel and prisoners could be halted.

Payments for October–December 2025, the two school semesters of 2026, and Saudi‑funded food, operation and fuel support for March–July 2026 have not been disbursed. Food suppliers have stopped deliveries because of accumulated debts, threatening the supply of meals to both the force and detainees. The administration demands immediate release of the overdue funds, stating it will hold responsible parties liable for any consequences.
