Aden universities launch new scholarship and PhD programs

Academic institutions in Aden are expanding scholarship and postgraduate opportunities. Dr. Najib Mohammed Muthanna Al-Shuaibi, President of Gulf of Aden International University, launched competitive scholarship examinations for the 2026–2027 academic year. The initiative aims to support high-achieving students and reduce the educational financial burden on families.

Simultaneously, Aden University is hosting competitive exams for PhD scholarships in accounting, supported by the Sela Foundation for Development. Eighteen candidates are competing for ten scholarships to join the university’s first PhD cohort in this specialization. The selection process includes written exams and personal interviews to ensure academic merit and transparency.
