Infineon posts record €4.2 bn Q3 revenue on AI chip demand FAST-MOVING
Infineon Technologies AG reported a record third‑quarter revenue of €4.2 billion, a 13 % increase over the same period last year. Net profit rose 39 % to €423 million. The surge was driven by strong demand for AI‑data‑center chips and rising investments in power‑grid infrastructure, while the automotive segment, which accounts for roughly half of sales, showed renewed growth after a previous slump.
The company opened a new manufacturing plant in Dresden in July 2026 to expand capacity for AI‑related products. For the full 2025/26 fiscal year Infineon now forecasts revenue of about €16.3 billion (≈11 % YoY growth) and free‑cash‑flow of €1.85 billion, up from €1.65 billion previously projected. The operating margin for the chemical‑free segment is expected to stay around 19‑20 %.
CEO Jochen Hanebeck highlighted the firm’s positioning in “structural growth markets” and said the record results underline the importance of AI‑driven demand and the company’s diversified portfolio.
