Adewale Elesho undergoes surgery for facial lesion

The Association of Nigeria Theatre Arts Practitioners (ANTP) has dismissed social media rumors claiming that veteran actor and former ANTP President Adewale Elesho is suffering from skin cancer.

Concerns regarding Elesho’s health arose after he was seen with a visible facial injury during the funeral of actor Taiwo Hassan in Ogun State. In response to the speculation, Elesho clarified that the condition was a minor issue that had enlarged due to a lack of timely treatment, rather than cancer.

Oluwafemi Adejonwo, the ANTP National Publicity Secretary, confirmed that Elesho has since undergone a successful surgical procedure to treat the facial lesion. The association reported that the actor is stable and currently recovering.
