ADEX and Perucámaras sign agreement to boost Peruvian exports

The Association of Exporters (ADEX) and Perucámaras have signed an inter-institutional cooperation agreement to strengthen business capabilities and promote foreign trade development throughout Peru. The initiative aims to address the current concentration of exports, as 67% of the country's shipments originate from the coast, primarily driven by mining and large-scale agro-industrial chains.

Through this agreement, members of various productive chains in the interior of the country will gain access to technical assistance, specialized services, information, and academic programs designed to increase competitiveness in international markets. This is intended to support regions that currently rely on smaller productive activities with greater logistical restrictions and less industrial transformation.

ADEX President César Tello Ramírez noted that micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) make up 99% of the Peruvian business fabric. He highlighted that 2,589 companies stopped exporting in 2025, including 2,033 micro-enterprises. Perucámaras President Oscar Zapata Alcázar emphasized the need to create conditions for producers and entrepreneurs across the entire territory to add value and reach new markets.
