ADHA calls for coordinated response to human trafficking

The organization Action pour les Droits Humains et l’Amitié (ADHA) has acknowledged recent interventions by the national police regarding begging, human trafficking, and related forms of exploitation. While the ADHA views these operations as a positive initial step by the state, it is calling for a more coordinated response that integrates judicial, social, and migratory frameworks.

The ADHA emphasizes the need for extended investigations to identify victims and hold exploiters accountable, citing Law No. 2005-06 regarding the fight against human trafficking. A key priority for the organization is ensuring that vulnerable victims are not treated the same as their exploiters, focusing instead on human dignity and the best interests of children.

Additionally, the ADHA suggests intensifying cooperation with countries of origin to facilitate voluntary returns or organized repatriations. This follows 2025 data showing that 60.24% of individuals involved in unauthorized begging sites were foreign nationals.
