Adi Hütter returns as Eintracht Frankfurt coach ahead of new season

Adi Hütter (56) has returned to Eintracht Frankfurt for a second spell as head coach, five years after his first tenure that ended in 2021. The Austrian manager, who previously led the club to one of its most successful recent periods, says his aim is to see “pro‑active, entertaining football” and to restore confidence after a disappointing campaign. Hütter notes that he has become more relaxed and communicative, describing himself as both motivator and, at times, a father‑figure to the squad.

In his first public remarks following a 4‑0 pre‑season win over FC Gießen, Hütter highlighted striker Jonathan Burkardt as a central goal‑scoring threat for the upcoming Bundesliga season, praising his work rate, movement and scoring record. He also addressed the development of young forwards Younes Ebnoutalib and Malick Pimpong, urging patience and continued growth while stressing the coaching staff’s role in strengthening the attackers.
