Adiconsum Cisl calls for competent leadership at ATI Enna

The consumer association Adiconsum Cisl has issued an appeal regarding the upcoming renewal of leadership positions at ATI Enna, scheduled for September. The association is calling for the appointment of competent professionals to address long-standing water management issues in the Enna province.

Giuseppe Di Luca, president of Adiconsum Cisl, urged political figures to step back and prioritize technical expertise to resolve local water problems. The association highlighted that the province currently holds a record for having some of the most expensive water tariffs in Italy.

Key demands include establishing a relationship of mutual respect and oversight with the company Acquaenna and implementing measures to reduce consumer costs. Additionally, the association is seeking to mitigate a proposed increase in wholesale water supply costs from Siciliacque, which threatens to further raise final tariffs for citizens. Adiconsum Cisl has also called for improved collaboration between the new governance and local institutions.
