Adiconsum renews Usury Prevention Fund Evaluation Committee

Adiconsum, a consumer association established by CISL, has renewed the Evaluation Committee for its Usury Prevention Fund. The move aims to protect vulnerable families facing risks of over-indebtedness and tightening access to traditional bank credit.

Adiconsum is the only Italian consumer association directly managing resources assigned by the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) under Law 108/96. The fund provides surety guarantees of up to 80% of the amount, enabling the disbursement of low-interest loans (approximately 2%) to families no longer considered creditworthy by standard banking institutions.

Over nearly thirty years, the fund has facilitated more than 33 million euros in financing. In the first two months of 2026 alone, the fund has guaranteed over 400,000 euros in loans. The program assists individuals or families experiencing temporary over-indebtedness or those unable to access legal credit due to negative reports in credit databases such as Crif, Ctc, or Experian.
