adidas and Pokémon announce crossover collection and in-game event

Niantic and adidas have announced a crossover collaboration involving both the Pokémon GO mobile game and a real-world product collection. As part of the Pokémon 30th anniversary, adidas Originals is releasing a hybrid sneaker, the Pokémon x Adidas Megaride F50 ‘Pikachu’, which combines football heritage with retro running technology.

In Pokémon GO, players can visit participating adidas stores starting September 25 to access event-themed Timed Research. Completing these tasks can reward players with an exclusive adidas jacket and cap for their in-game avatars, as well as XP, Stardust, and an encounter with Lucario. The research is available at qualifying locations until January 15, 2027, with rewards to be claimed by February 13, 2027. Additionally, adidas footwear will soon be available for in-game avatars globally.
