Adidas signs five-year apparel deal with Persija Jakarta
German sportswear giant Adidas announced a five‑year partnership with Indonesian football club Persija Jakarta, providing official kits and equipment for the senior team and its Elite Pro Academy youth squads. The agreement, unveiled on 22 June 2026 at the Adidas Brand Center in Jakarta, revives a historic collaboration that saw Persija wear Adidas gear during championship seasons in the 1970s and early 1990s.
Senior Manager Brand Activation for Adidas Indonesia, Cinita Dewi Mayakatri, said the deal aligns with Adidas’ long‑term strategy to stay active in Indonesian football. Persija’s Director of Sports, former player Bambang Pamungkas, welcomed the partnership, noting the club’s strong fan base and legacy. The new kit line – home, away and third jerseys – is scheduled for a public launch on 29 August 2026, ahead of the 2026/27 Super League season.
The collaboration replaces previous apparel partner Juaraga and includes the sale of fan‑focused merchandise, beginning with a black “Macan Kemayoran” training shirt released at the launch event.
