Adidas unveils Adizero Adios Pro 5 racing shoe

Adidas has launched the Adizero Adios Pro 5, a new racing shoe designed to bring high-performance technology to a broader range of runners. The model incorporates innovations from the Adizero Evo Pro 3, which was used by athletes like Sabastian Sawe and Yomif Kejelcha during record-breaking performances.

Key technical upgrades include the replacement of Energyrods with a new carbon-infused Energyrim system. This technology wraps around the Lightstrike Pro foam midsole to provide approximately 9% more energy return. The shoe also features a redesigned LightLock 2.0 upper with improved ventilation and support. Compared to the previous Adios Pro 4, the new model is roughly 12% lighter, weighing an average of 177 grams.

The product was developed through extensive testing involving over 25 athletes in Kenya, Ethiopia, and the United States. The Adizero Adios Pro 5 is available for $275.
