Adidas unveils new Croatia national football team kits

The Croatian Football Federation and adidas have officially unveiled the new kits for the Croatian national football team. This launch marks the beginning of a long-term partnership between the federation and adidas following the conclusion of their previous agreement with Nike.

The first kit features a modern interpretation of the iconic red and white checkers. For the first time, the design incorporates letters from the Glagolitic script, the oldest known Slavic alphabet, into the checkerboard pattern. Additionally, the word ‘CROATIA’ is written in Glagolitic on the back of the collar.

The second kit is inspired by the traditional Croatian craft of lace-making. A complex lace-inspired motif is set against a dark blue background, complemented by the word ‘HRVATSKA’ on the collar in typography inspired by traditional cross-stitch embroidery.

HNS President Marijan Kustić stated that the designs aim to blend local pride with a global perspective. The national team is expected to wear the new kits for the first time during the upcoming UEFA Nations League matches, starting with a game against the Czech Republic on September 26.
