Adios Jojo wins 91st Longacres Mile after disqualification
In a historic first for the 91st running of the Longacres Mile, the race outcome was decided by a disqualification. The 32-1 underdog Adios Jojo was declared the winner after the heavy favorite, Touchy, was disqualified following an inquiry into interference during the stretch run.
Stewards reached a unanimous verdict to demote Touchy and jockey Yedsit Hazlewood from first to second place. The decision followed an objection filed by Kevin Orozco, the jockey aboard Adios Jojo.
