Adivi Sesh to lead Indian Independence Day events in New York City

Actor Adivi Sesh will lead a three-day series of Indian Independence Day celebrations in New York City, organized in association with the Federation of Indian Associations.

The festivities begin on August 14th, when Sesh will join the CEO of the Empire State Building to illuminate the landmark in the saffron, white, and green colors of the Indian tricolour. On August 15th, a flag-hoisting ceremony will take place in Times Square alongside the Consul General of India, featuring cultural performances and patriotic music.

The celebrations conclude on August 16th with the India Day Parade on Madison Avenue. Sesh is scheduled to ride the America 250 float and greet approximately 55 parade floats from a main podium. The events are expected to draw significant crowds from the Indian diaspora, with nearly 300,000 people anticipated to participate in the parade.
