Turkey experiences widespread planned electricity outages

Multiple regions across Turkey are facing widespread planned electricity outages due to scheduled grid maintenance, infrastructure upgrades, and network modernization projects.

In Muğla, Aydın, and Denizli, ADM Elektrik has announced extensive works affecting numerous districts, including Bodrum, Fethiye, and Marmaris. These operations involve transformer maintenance, line renewals, and tree trimming to ensure long-term energy stability.

Other major disruptions include:

• Bursa: UEDAŞ reported outages across 15 districts, with some areas expected to be without power for up to eight hours. • İzmir: Gediz Elektrik scheduled maintenance across 21 districts, impacting both high-density residential areas and rural neighborhoods. • Gaziantep: Six districts are affected by network improvement works. • Van: Maintenance in the Tuşba and Gürpınar districts will impact various settlements. • Adana: Planned outages are scheduled for the Çukurova, Sarıçam, and Seyhan districts. • Eskişehir: Maintenance will occur in Çifteler, Tepebaşı, Seyitgazi, and Odunpazarı. • Trabzon: Various districts, including Ortahisar and Maçka, will experience service interruptions.

Authorities advise residents to take necessary precautions, such as unplugging sensitive electronic devices, to avoid damage during these scheduled periods.
