ADME raises €1 billion capital, launches public offering to fund grid expansion

Greek transmission system operator ADME announced a €1 billion capital increase, carried out through a public offering that ran from 16 to 18 June. The offering aims to raise €530 million, of which €271 million has already been provided by the Greek state. International investor Capital World Investors joined as a cornerstone investor.

The new funds will back a series of priority projects, including new interconnections in the Dodecanese and the northern Aegean islands and a second Greece‑Italy link (GRITA 2). ADME expects to double its asset base by 2029, maintain dividend payouts at around 100 % of distributable earnings, and accelerate Greece’s energy transition and its role as a regional energy hub.
