TSJE launches campaign to update electoral data for 87,000 youths

The Superior Tribunal of Electoral Justice (TSJE) has announced a national campaign to update the residential information of approximately 87,000 young citizens. Running from November 2 to December 30, the initiative aims to ensure voters are correctly assigned to the polling districts and locations nearest to their homes.

Electoral officials will visit schools and universities to provide guidance to secondary and university students. The campaign specifically targets individuals who will turn 18 by April 2028, allowing them to enter the Citizen Registry (RCP) for inclusion in future electoral rolls.

Citizens can verify their current data via the official RCP website using their identity card number. To perform updates, individuals must visit their nearest Electoral Registry or Civic Center from Tuesday to Sunday, including holidays. Because many beneficiaries are minors, the process requires the signature of a parent or legal guardian, and forms must be completed in the presence of two electoral justice officials to ensure procedural integrity.
