Admiral Krishna Swaminathan to attend Sanawar’s 179th Founder’s Day

The Lawrence School, Sanawar, in Himachal Pradesh, will celebrate its 179th Founder’s Day with a three-day program from October 3 to 5. The event will bring together students, faculty, parents, and alumni from across the world.

Admiral Krishna Swaminathan, the 27th Chief of the Naval Staff, is scheduled to attend the concluding ceremony as the chief guest. He will participate in the 179th Founder’s Trooping of the School Flag on October 5. The celebrations are expected to include sporting events, cultural activities, exhibitions, and traditional ceremonies.

Founded on April 15, 1847, by Sir Henry Lawrence and Lady Honoria Lawrence, the institution has a long history of producing defense officers. The program will conclude with the Headmaster’s School Report, the presentation of Founder’s Prizes, and an address by Admiral Swaminathan.
