Admiral Samuel Paparo visits India to strengthen US-India defense ties
Admiral Samuel Paparo, commander of the U.S. Pacific Command, is conducting a visit to India from October 5 to October 8 to advance the US-India Major Defense Partnership. During the visit, U.S. Ambassador to India Sergio Gor hosted a dinner at Roosevelt House in New Delhi to facilitate discussions between senior military leadership from both nations.
The gathering included high-ranking Indian officials, such as Chief of Defence Staff General NS Raja Subramani, Chief of the Army Staff General Dhiraj Seth, Vice Chief of the Air Staff Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit, and Chief of Integrated Defence Staff Air Marshal Tejinder Singh. The U.S. Embassy stated the event highlighted the “growing strength, ambition, and importance” of the bilateral defense relationship. Admiral Paparo oversees a command of approximately 400,000 military and civilian personnel across a region covering nearly half the globe.
