Republika Srpska marks 19 years since death of Milan Jelić

The 19th anniversary of the death of Milan Jelić, former President of Republika Srpska, is being marked today in Modriča. A commemoration ceremony will be held at the city cemetery, with the attendance of Republika Srpska President Siniša Karan scheduled for 11:00 AM.

Jelić, who passed away on September 30, 2007, was a politician, businessman, and university professor with a doctorate in economic sciences. Milorad Dodik, president of the SNSD, paid tribute to Jelić, stating that his life and dedication left an indelible mark on both his hometown of Modriča and the entirety of Republika Srpska. Dodik emphasized Jelić's role as a leader who sought to contribute to societal progress and leave a lasting legacy for future generations.
