Adnan Taç resigns from Trabzon Kent Konseyi board

Adnan Taç, the founder and long-time former president of Trabzon Sanatevi, has resigned from his position on the Executive Board of the Trabzon Kent Konseyi.

Taç cited the council’s silence regarding the eviction of the Trabzon Sanatevi building as the primary reason for his departure. He stated that the lack of response from the council to the public outcry and media attention surrounding the eviction of such a significant local arts institution was unacceptable.

Taç also noted that the council’s inaction had led to criticism from various circles, which targeted both the institution and his personal reputation as a representative on the board. He concluded that remaining in his position while the council failed to address the situation would be detrimental to his professional standing and his role as a founder of the arts center.
