ADNOC announces $16.3 billion in UAE manufacturing opportunities

ADNOC has unveiled more than AED60 billion (approximately $16.3 billion) in local manufacturing opportunities available through 2030. Announced at the second ‘Make it with ADNOC’ Forum in Abu Dhabi, the initiative aims to strengthen the UAE’s industrial base, create skilled jobs, and bolster domestic supply chains.

The program targets the local production of over 200 essential products and a wide range of critical spare parts, including rotating equipment, power systems, electrical and automation equipment, drilling tools, chemicals, and heavy equipment. By shifting from imports to domestic production, ADNOC intends to shorten lead times and reduce vulnerability to global supply chain disruptions.

To support this transition, ADNOC is implementing reforms to its procurement, supplier registration, and In-Country Value (ICV) frameworks. These changes include a new supplier registration model designed to speed up onboarding by up to 80% and halve documentation requirements. Additionally, procurement enhancements aim to reduce purchasing cycles by up to 40%. ADNOC will collaborate with the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology and the Abu Dhabi Investment Office to link these opportunities with industrial support measures.
