Ado discusses musical origins and personal life on Nippon TV

On the October 3 broadcast of the Nippon TV variety program ‘Sakusaku Himuhimu ☆Oshi no Furu Yoru☆’, the singer Ado appeared via monitor to discuss her career and personal life. The program explored her journey from being a shy student inspired by internet ‘utaite’ culture to becoming a major musical force.

Ado revealed that she began her musical journey by requesting equipment as a Christmas gift in sixth grade and posted her first cover video at age 14. She also shared personal struggles, including a period of school non-attendance after being separated from friends, noting that her parents' support allowed her to focus on music.

Beyond her professional achievements—such as her hit ‘Usseewa’ surpassing 500 million streams and her upcoming 2026 appearance at Lollapalooza—Ado discussed her private life. She described her preference for solo activities, including visiting exhibitions and riding a Ferris wheel in Odaiba alone, and mentioned her recent hobby of playing with squeeze toys.
