Ado to perform theme song for ‘Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo’ film

The upcoming Japan-US co-production film ‘Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo’, directed by Takashi Miike and produced in collaboration with Hollywood studio NEON, has announced its theme song, ‘Raven Sky’, performed by Ado.

Set to premiere in Japan on October 23, the film features Shun Oguri as a corrupt detective and Lily James as an FBI agent investigating a series of ritualistic murders and a missing daughter of a future president. The production team selected Ado for the theme song specifically to appeal to international audiences, noting her ability to ‘fight alongside us overseas.’ The track was produced with the involvement of Grammy Award-winning composer Masanori Takumi.

The film is scheduled for a world premiere at the 51st Toronto International Film Festival in the Special Presentations section.
