Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen to step down in 2026

Shantanu Narayen is set to step down as CEO of Adobe Inc. in November 2026 after an 18-year tenure. He will transition to the role of Executive Chair on December 1, 2026. Anil Chakravarthy has been named as his successor, effective December 1, 2026.

During Narayen’s leadership, Adobe transitioned from a desktop software company with under $1 billion in revenue to a cloud and AI-focused enterprise with FY2025 revenues reaching $23.77 billion. Narayen, an engineer from Hyderabad, India, joined Adobe in 1998 and served as CEO starting in December 2007.
