Adobe integrates 70+ creative tools into Slack

Adobe has launched ‘Adobe for Slack’, a new integration that embeds more than 70 professional creative and productivity tools directly into the Slack workspace. Available globally for Slack Business+ and Enterprise+ plans, the integration allows users to access tools such as Photoshop, Premiere, Acrobat, Illustrator, Firefly, and Adobe Express via natural language commands through Slackbot.

The system utilizes the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to allow Slackbot to pull context from ongoing conversations, files, channels, and Slack Canvases. This enables teams to transform project briefs, chat summaries, or spreadsheet data into finished media, such as PDFs, images, or videos, without switching applications. Users can also perform batch edits, including background removal and resizing, or search Creative Cloud assets by style and mood.

While basic functionality is available to guest users, signing in with an Adobe account unlocks advanced generative AI capabilities and seamless access to Creative Cloud libraries. This move follows Adobe’s existing strategy of embedding its tools within major AI chat platforms, including ChatGPT, Claude, and Microsoft Copilot, with upcoming support for Google Gemini planned.
