Adobe launches Premiere mobile video editing app for Android
Adobe has officially released its Premiere mobile video editing application for Android devices, following its previous launch on iOS. Available via the Google Play Store, the app provides professional-grade editing tools to mobile users, including multi-track timelines, frame-accurate cutting, and the ability to merge video, music, and text layers.
A key feature of the release is that core editing capabilities—such as trimming, cropping, and adjusting playback speed—are free to use and allow for unlimited 4K video exports without watermarks. To enhance audio, the app includes an AI-powered ‘Enhance Audio’ feature designed to reduce background noise and improve voice clarity.
While the fundamental toolkit is free, Adobe has integrated generative AI capabilities through Adobe Firefly. Advanced features, such as generating sound effects or accessing specific AI-driven assets, require the purchase of generative AI credits. The application is optimized for various Android form factors, including foldable devices, and requires a minimum of Android 13 and 5GB of RAM.
